Jerome was the son of F. Manderson Walker and Helen Lennie Walker of Mount Royal, Whitehead, Co. Antrim. He is buried at Authuille Military Cemetery, Grave D.58. His grave inscription reads, "He was a good and loving son a good soldier of the King and gave his life for His country."
