J. H. WATSON SERGEANT ROYAL SCOTS BORN 9TH MAY 1886 - DIED 9TH APRIL 1918.
John was the son of Rev. John Watson B.A. and Elizabeth Watson of Drumderrig, Co. Roscommon.
He entered CCB in September 1901 and left in 1906. After that, he was a student of Medicine at Edinburgh University. He was in the OTC Medical Cadet Corps in 1912.
He enlisted in December 1914. His date of death in the Campbell College Register is listed as 9th April 1917 but the Commonwealth War Graves Commission has it listed as the 16th of that month.
He is commemorated at Ploegsteert Memorial, Panel 1.
