A play inspired by the Men Behind the Glass Project was staged by the Campbell College Dramatic Society. The production ran from 5th to the 8th of December and was attended by an estimated 600 people. It was specially written for the College by Elizabeth McIlvenny, Head of Drama, with music composed by the College’s Composer in Residence, David Catherwood.
The play ‘brought to life the voices of the 1914 1st XV who gave their lives in World War One; this production tells the heart-breaking stories, many of which have never been told, of our fallen Campbellians’.
The response to the drama has been very positive. On audience member said: “I was blown away by the performance last night, a beautiful performance so PERFECTLY written. It suddenly brought all those faces hanging on the walls to life… hardly a dry eye in our row last night at the end!”
