Harrison was born on the 12th December 1883, the son of Harrison McCloy Snr. of Talbot Street Belfast. He entered Campbell College in February 1895.
James was killed in action on the 21st August 1917. He is buried at White House Cemetery, St. Jean-Les-Ypres. West-Vlaanderen Belgium.
